We are happy to offer digital X-Ray technology at our office. What does this mean to you as a patient?
- You receive only 10% of the radiation you normally get from traditional film X-Rays
- Instead of waiting up to ten minutes for X-Ray films to be processed, digital X-Ray images can be viewed in a matter of seconds
- Digital X-Rays can be enlarged on a 26-inch monitor, giving you and the doctor a clearer picture of your teeth and the doctor enhanced diagnostic ability
- Digital X-Rays are environmentally friendly and eliminates all the chemical waste needed for processing and developing traditional X-rays
Current dental X-Rays are an integral part of your oral health examination. X-rays allow us to fully diagnose possible decay, gum disease and overall dental health. The American Dental Association recommends a full series of X-Rays every 3 to 5 years and periodic bitewing X-Rays every 6 to 12 months. We take all precautions with your health in minimizing any and all radiation. For your protection, we make sure every patient is fully covered with a lead apron before taking any X-Rays.
